Just something I whipped up fairly quickly tonight without too much thought. :)

Have you seen this cat?

Some characters are instantly funny, gross, and uncomfortable to look at. This was the case when I saw a quick sketch of a cat drawn by my friend Andrew Chesworth (The blue sketch on top). I thought this character was fantastic, and needed to be cleaned up and colored. So, here he is! ...And I apologize for any awkwardness he may cause. ;)

I created this last night for Illustration Friday, the weekly illustration challenge site. I just came back from an out-of-state wedding and wanted to have fun with an illustration without overthinking it. So, here it is! It was a lot of fun to draw all of these folds and ripples. New Character!

This is a character concept I came up with when sketching with a friend of mine. We wanted to draw characters that would be in an imaginary fighting game. This character's concept is that he has giant fingernails that are normally soggy noodles until he flicks them, turning them into razor sharp blades of fury.

"Peculiar Jones" Comic

These are the pitch pages of a comic project between writer/creator Ted Anderson and myself.

The story follows our lovable anti-hero and freelance errand boy Peculiar Jones and his ghoulish associates as they try to make an "honest" buck in the big city, while being swept up in twisted mysteries and supernatural adventures that seem to follow them wherever they go.

This was a lot of fun to make, and hopefully we can move forward and get this baby published very soon! I hope you enjoy the pages and the character designs, and any comments/critiques are very helpful and appreciated!

Drawing @ The Tea Garden

Man! It's been so long since I've posted! Work and life in general have been crazy for a while now, so I'm forcing myself to post.

I haven't done any real observation drawing in a long time, so it was really enjoyable to get into this again. This was inked at the Tea Garden, a fantastic little tea/coffee shop with AMAZING bubble tea. Mmmm, bubble tea..
